SAA Pick for Top Pitcher in June is Hess Thursday, July 1st, 2038 There's something about a young rookie winning the USSL Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Mike Hess, a 25-year-old starter for the Lancaster Farmers. In June, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 0.48 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 37.2 innings, fanned 39 and held opposing teams to a .177 average. This year Hess has posted a record of 5 wins and 2 losses with a 2.47 ERA. He has appeared in 9 games and struck out 57 in 54.2 innings. |
