Polar Bears End Rhod's Streak Monday, June 14th, 2038 Lady Luck was not on the side of Ruby Rhod or his teammates today at The Igloo. Everything went the way of the Billings Polar Bears, who not only came away with the 9-0 victory over Akron, but also held Rhod hitless in 2 at-bats to put an end to his 21-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Rhod said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." So far on the season Rhod is hitting .408 with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 53 hits and played in 31 games. |
