Injury Sidelines Fernando Alou for Season Sunday, September 5th, 2038 Belvedere Park starting pitcher Fernando Alou could miss the remainder of the season because of a stretched elbow ligament. He exited yesterday's Durham game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Alou would be out 10-11 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." In 0 starts this season Alou has compiled a 3-1 record and a 2.01 ERA. |
