Salinas Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 21 Tuesday, August 17th, 2038 José Salinas's 21-game hitting streak was snapped today at San Antonio Field. The 26-year-old San Antonio BC shortstop failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Akron Blimps, but San Antonio came out the winner, 1-0. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to José," BC manager John Wright said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." |
