Cruz of Alloway Named Best Pitcher Friday, October 8th, 2038 Alloway's Jesús Cruz took home the 2038 USSL Triple A Outstanding Pitcher Award earlier today after a remarkable season on the mound. With a record of 7-4, Cruz was certainly a worthy winner. He made 21 starts and posted 143.2 innings, 135 strikeouts and a 2.63 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Santiago Pérez of the Vermont Lake Monsters finished second in voting, while Ryan Peterson of the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes finished third.
