Veteran Mungus Hits Three Dingers

Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Dodos-Hotspur Reserves game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Hialeah third baseman Hugh Mungus thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Hialeah to a 6-4 win over Phoenix.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Mungus said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Mungus was 3-for-4 on the day with 4 RBI.
Hugh Mungus flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Tim Lockhart in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Rex Loggins in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Rex Loggins in the 8th.
For the year Mungus has hit at a .462 clip with 12 RBIs, 7 home runs and 11 runs scored.
