Haapajarvi Wins SAAA Player of the Week Monday, September 6th, 2038 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USSL Triple A, but last week Iiri Haapajarvi of the Memphis Redbirds reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Haapajarvi rocked opposing pitching for a .452 average (14-for-31), 4 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. On the year Haapajarvi is hitting .301 with 109 hits, 25 home runs, 72 RBIs, .353 OBP and has scored 67 runs. |
