Dodos Vodchak Lost for Year
Sunday, August 1st, 2038
Hialeah reliever Robert Vodchak could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's Memphis game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Vodchak would be out 12 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

This season Vodchak has been credited with 4 saves. In 18 relief appearances and 31 innings he has a 1-2 won-lost mark, a 3.48 ERA and 40 strikeouts.
