Alaskan Humpbacks starting pitcher Kanakanui Lokomaikainani said he loves to come into the game when the outcome is in jeopardy.

He certainly did a good job of impacting his team's outcomes this season, as he has been named the winner of the 2038 Reliever of the Year Award for the USPL Triple A.

"There's no better feeling than running in from the bullpen with the game on the line and your heart pumping," Lokomaikainani said.

On the season, the Koror, Palau native had 12 saves in 34 relief appearances, 64 strikeouts in 63 innings and a record of 5 wins and 4 losses to go with his 2.43 ERA.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ron Mingo of the Bloomington Longnecks finished second in voting, while William DeWitt of the Alaskan Humpbacks finished third.
