Germán 5-for-5 for Bloomington Wednesday, September 15th, 2038 Marcos Germán exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Lookouts Ballpark. The Bloomington reliever had a field day in the 15-4 triumph over the Texas Bronze Sox, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Germán must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Marcos Germán hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Kazuchika Okada in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
