Un-four-gettable: Herbert Hits for Cycle Thursday, June 24th, 2038 Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Carl Herbert's day was a special one. The center fielder hit for the cycle to spark the Pennsauken Flyers to a 7-1 victory over the Houston BC at Houston Park today. Pennsauken manager Jeff Walsh said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Herbert in particular. "Carl caught me by surprise today," he said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it." For the day, Herbert finished with 6 RBI and 1 run scored to go with his 4 hits. Carl Herbert tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sam White in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
