Men Benavides Out Rest Of Season Saturday, June 19th, 2038 The season is apparently over for Manny Benavides. The Florida Men medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 4 months with shoulder inflammation. Benavides was hurt in the game against Houston while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. Thus far this season Benavides has compiled a 0-1 record, made 13 relief appearances with 1 save, hurling 14.1 innings and striking out 6. He has held the opposition to a .224 batting average with a 1.88 ERA. |
