Year Over for Buzz Klapwijk
Wednesday, August 25th, 2038
The doctors have spoken and Felix Klapwijk of the Salt Lake City Buzz didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Klapwijk sustained his season-ending injury during the Hamilton Coyotes game yesterday at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Salt Lake City medical staff reported Klapwijk had a bone spur in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.
To this point in the season, Klapwijk shows a 0-4 record, 5 starts, 24 innings, 30 strikeouts and a 7.88 ERA.
