Reserves Bennett to Miss Year
Thursday, August 12th, 2038
The doctors have spoken and Jack Bennett of the Athletic Club KC Reserves didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Bennett sustained his season-ending injury during the Pennsauken Flyers game yesterday at KC Reserve Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Athletic Club KC medical staff reported Bennett had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.
In 6 starts this season Bennett has rung up a 4-2 record and a 3.05 ERA.
