Vázquez Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, July 28th, 2038 Chalk up another one for Indianapolis Racers center fielder Roberto Vázquez. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Vázquez went 1-for-5 today's game at Milton Corner Tavern but saw his club defeated 8-5 by the host Milton Dogfish Head. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Racers manager Emílio Sáenz said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Roberto Vázquez struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Currently Vázquez is batting .274 with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
