Buckhead's Encarnación Wins Rookie of the Year Sunday, October 31st, 2038 It was a very productive rookie season for Buckhead right fielder Jesús Encarnación. He made the club, made the starting lineup, then in the regular season put up numbers impressive enough that the Menard's Third League presented him the league's Newcomer of the Year Award for 2038. It was a season to remember for the 23-year-old Bowties newcomer. In addition to hitting .320, Encarnación played in 102 games and collected 45 home runs, 94 RBIs and 93 runs scored. Paul Haines of the Buckhead Bowties finished second in voting, while Lauren Hilfiker of the Cleveland Browns finished third. |
