Melichar Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, September 1st, 2038 Krystof Melichar ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Ebbetts Field, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Houston 1837 BBC dropped the game, 11-0, to the Brooklyn Dodgers. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Melichar said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Krystof Melichar flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th.
