20 Games in a Row for Umaba Saturday, September 25th, 2038 The Hollywood Shredders may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 7-4 to the San Mateo Dirty Reds, but Kanko Umaba continued to hit like a god. The left fielder collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Umaba is playing great and is on fire right now," Shredders manager Bill Cheese said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Umaba was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Kanko Umaba singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Umaba is hitting .325 so far this season with 108 RBIs and 94 runs scored. He has 135 hits including 37 home runs, 57 walks and .413 OBP. |
