Rehab Setback For Yao-pang Chiang Friday, September 17th, 2038 Yao-pang Chiang's return to the San Mateo Dirty Reds has been delayed. The 29-year-old first baseman has been in treatment for hamstring tendinitis and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and Chiang will not be back as originally diagnosed. He will now be out at least one week. This season Chiang is batting .236 with 62 hits, 13 home runs, 40 RBIs, 44 walks, .348 OBP and has scored 36 runs. He has played in 76 games. |
