Ellington Tosses Shutout for Phoenix Wednesday, July 14th, 2038 Rook Ellington shut out the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC 5-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece for the Phoenix Hotspur at Great Northern Field today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Phoenix skipper Michael Esposito said afterward. Ellington registered 4 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams after the defeat.
