Airmen Rúbio Lost for Year Monday, August 16th, 2038 A blow for Jaime Rúbio today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 5-6 months with a torn labrum. Rúbio suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Alameda Airmen are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Rúbio's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Rúbio has made 7 starts so far this year and put up a 2-2 won-lost record with a 4.54 ERA. In 41.2 innings he has allowed 50 hits, walked 12 and struck out 34. |
