The future looks extremely bright for Ricardo Urby. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in USSL Single A.

Urby has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the USSL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .321 this year, that's for sure," the left fielder said.

The Caldwell Chiefs star also put up a .385 on-base percentage this year, with 124 hits, 27 doubles, 4 triples, 10 home runs, 51 RBIs and 61 runs scored.

He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Jesús Gómez of the Laredo Hawks finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Miguel Contreras of the Caldwell Chiefs finished third.
