Smokies José Stanley Down and Out for Year
Monday, September 6th, 2038
The news is bad in Tennessee. The Smokies have lost the services of reliever José Stanley for the rest of the season due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Stanley was injured in a recent game with the Provo Mango while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 9 months.
This year Stanley has 16 saves, totaled 29.1 innings, allowed 29 base hits and fashioned a 5.52 ERA while racking up 27 strikeouts and a record of 2 wins and 4 losses.
