Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Saturday, September 4th, 2038 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Laredo-Washington contest at Hawks Field. The Hawks Tim Wright and the Generals Hang-fu Xiong will have to sit out 5 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. To date Wright has chalked up a .250 average with no home runs, driven in 5 runs and scored 3 times. In 6 starts this season Xiong has gathered 3 wins while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 58.1 innings, allowed 62 hits, struck out 56 and has a 3.09 ERA. |
