SA Star of the Week Announced Monday, August 9th, 2038 So far in his young career, Ambrose Watkins has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Single A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 20-year-old Niagara Falls Expos catcher hit at a torrid .625 clip as he collected 10 hits in 16 at-bats, no home runs, 1 RBIs and 1 run scored. Looking at his present stats, Watkins has compiled a .265 batting average in 63 games with a .357 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 19 runs. |
