League Issues Villacrés 4-Game Suspension Saturday, June 26th, 2038 Expos catcher Sixto Villacrés was incensed after being suspended for 4 games by the commissioner's office following a heated argument the day before in the Niagara Falls-Laredo game at Hawks Field. He was thrown out of the game for arguing a strike call. The league office cited Villacrés for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," which included throwing his hat at the umpire several times.
