Week's #1 Player Honored by 3A Monday, June 7th, 2038 19-year-old Dima Tabakaev made a few Cape Coral headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Single A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .435 average. Tabakaev collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This season Tabakaev is batting .288 with 34 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 20 times and has 27 runs batted in. |
