Season Possibly Over for Bobby Martin Wednesday, September 1st, 2038 The doctors have spoken and Bobby Martin of the Belleville Bulls didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Martin sustained his season-ending injury during the Mancelona Torch game yesterday at Torch Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Belleville medical staff reported Martin had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. This year his stats show Martin has 6 saves in 36 relief appearances with a 3-5 record and 3.40 ERA. |
