Powell Bags 3A Best Player Award Monday, July 5th, 2038 24-year-old Jason Powell made a few Belleville headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Single A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 19 at-bats to put up a .421 average. Powell collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 5 runs. To date, Powell has collected 49 hits for a .271 average. He has posted 16 home runs, scored 32 runs and driven in 50 runs. |
