Flamingos Stumble, Lose to Dirty Reds
The San Mateo Dirty Reds bested the Las Vegas Flamingos by a score of 11-2, with left fielder Dylan Carson getting the main credit. On the day, Carson was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Dirty Reds. Juan Moreno earned the win to go to 4-6. He allowed 2 earned runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Ignacio Ayala was credited with the save for San Mateo, his 1st of the season.

San Mateo used the clutch hitting of Nelson Jaramillo to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Jaramillo. "And not try to do too much."

With the win over Las Vegas, the Dirty Reds improved to 48-43.
