The Phoenix Hotspur went down to defeat to Michael Machen and his San Mateo teammates. The final score was 6-2 in favor of the Dirty Reds. Getting the save was Urs Ehles, his 6th. The Dirty Reds bumped their record to 43-37 with this latest triumph.

Kameron Guangorena, who finished 3rd in the SL in slugging percentage with .585 last year, chipped in for San Mateo with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
