Thunder Bay rode a decent outing from starter Ralph DePalma to victory over the Las Vegas Flamingos at Great Northern Field. The final score was 4-3. With the victory, the Northern Lions BC record now stands at 41-39.

Jason Slaybaugh was the walk-off hero for Thunder Bay. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Northern Lions BC pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

After the game, Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
