Silver Sox Run Win Streak to 6
|
Manuel Ramos helped his team muscle past the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 10-1. In the game, the Chicago third baseman went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Surrealiste Zhejna, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. With their winning streak at 6, the Silver Sox have raced to a strong start this season.
Chicago used the timely hitting of Larry McLambroch to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Silver Sox ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Feels good to get the job done," McLambroch said after the game.
