White Walkers Prevail, 5-3, Over San Mateo
|
The Buffalo White Walkers topped the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 5-3, in United States Silver League action at Beyond the Wall. The player of the game was Buffalo pitcher Kent Good. Good got the win, improving to 6-4. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Good allowed no earned runs. Woodward Haberdash picked up the save for Buffalo, his 17th of the year.
Making an impact for the home team was Derek Bangert. In the bottom of the seventh, the 32-year old first baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 5-3, White Walkers.
"We'll try to build on that win," Bangert told the Buffalo Herald.
With the win, Buffalo goes to 37-38, while the Dirty Reds fall to 40-35.
