Northern Lions BC Rally For Late Win Over Shredders
|
Thunder Bay starter Ralph DePalma pitched effectively against the Hollywood Shredders at The Hollywood Bowl. The right-hander led his team to a 7-5 win. With the win, Thunder Bay goes to 38-37, while the Shredders fall to 50-25.
The result might have been different for Thunder Bay, had it not been for Jorge Herrera, the top prospect . Herrera stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Thunder Bay up, 6-5. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Good pitching stops good hitting," said DePalma. "And vice-versa."
