Outlaws Jolt Flamingos with Late Rally
|
Nashville beat Las Vegas at Nashville Stadium, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Matthew Fallows, who earned player of the game honors. Nashville is 5th in the Silver League with a record of 37-37.
In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 1-1, second baseman Mark Toope won it for Nashville. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Toope hit a 1-1 fastball from Vaugh Chesser for a run-scoring double, giving his team a 2-1 win.
"This place was electric at the end," Fallows said.
