Dirty Reds Waste Great Game from Chiang
San Mateo designated hitter Yao-pang Chiang had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Chiang went 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3, even as Hollywood beat the Dirty Reds, 10-5. Chiang was named the player of the game despite the loss. Hollywood is now 47-23, 4 games up in the Silver League.

Hollywood used the clutch hitting of Scott Kerin to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to give the Shredders the lead, 5-1. For the game, Kerin had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
