Late Rally by Dirty Reds Secures Win
The San Mateo Dirty Reds had to overcome a big game from Thunder Bay catcher Tullu Amaad to leave Great Northern Field with a 7-6 victory. Amaad went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Yoshii Ikeda converted his 5th save in 5 tries. The 'W' lifts San Mateo's record to 33-30.

San Mateo used the bat of Denis Higgins to capture the win. The pinch hitter jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 7-6. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a dandy.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Higgins told the San Mateo Herald.
