Almost There: Cleveland On Cusp of R2039 Triumph After 4-3 Win
Game was big. So was Natalino Golaio.

The Cleveland starter rose to the occasion at The Cattle Pen today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Browns to a crucial 4-3 victory over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Golaio threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball as the Browns won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2039.

Cleveland used the bat of Henry Madore to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Browns ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We're not going to sweep 'em," Madore said in response to a question after the game. "Ft. Worth is too good not to take a game somewhere."
