Lazcano goes 3-for-3 as White Walkers Squeeze Past Las Vegas

The Buffalo White Walkers turned back the Las Vegas Flamingos, 5-4, at The Strip. Jesús Lazcano was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Zhao-ji Qiu got the win, improving to 4-6. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Woodward Haberdash earned the save, his 15th.
Buffalo took a 5-3 lead on Lazcano's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Kagetoki Matsubara in the top of the seventh, propelled Buffalo to the win.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban.
The losing streak for Las Vegas has now reached 5 games.
