Almost There: Vancouver On Cusp of R2039 Triumph After 6-2 Win
The Vancouver Grey Wolves moved to within one game of the Round 2040 today, downing the Hollywood Shredders on the road at The Hollywood Bowl by a score of 6-2. Grey Wolves left fielder Urs van Munster was named player of the game after he was 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 runs. The win gives the Grey Wolves a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2039.

Vancouver needed the clutch hitting of Johan Kroening to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Grey Wolves on top, 6-2. For the game, Kroening had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We haven't stopped playing," Hollywood manager Bill Cheese said. "We didn't get this far to give up."
