Al-Fanari Blasts Screaming Eagles, Loons Take Game 4, 10-6
|
The Minnesota Loons and the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles will take the PL AA Championship to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Loons beat the Screaming Eagles 10-6 at Loony Bin to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Minnesota catcher Sehinsah Al-Fanari was named player of the game in the win after he was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
Cameron Woolever aided the Minnesota cause with a bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder was 2-5 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We lost," Mercer Island manager Marshall Edwards said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
The next game is scheduled for Monday, September 27th, 2038. Slated to start are Maik van Osch for Minnesota and James Lendell Basford for Mercer Island.
