Otters Win, Move to Within 1 Game of Round 2
The Tulsa Otters moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Hudsonville Flanderses at Ballpark of Hughesville by a score of 3-2. Otters right-hander Martin Luther was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Otters a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 PL R Championchip.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Otters were trailing 2-1. John Montgomery delivered a two-out 2-run double for Tulsa, catapulting his team into the lead.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Montgomery told the Tulsa Daily.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday in Hudsonville. Slated to start are Fernando Campos for Tulsa and Lance Simmons for Hudsonville.
