Hollywood Open Silver League Championship with Win thanks to Men
The Hollywood Shredders started the Silver League Championship in dominant fashion today, blowing out the visiting Greenville 84s at The Hollywood Bowl by a score of 10-2 and securing an early - lead in the best-of- series. Shredders right-hander Joy-shan Men was named player of the game after he threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball.

Scott Kerin hit a 2-run home run off Júlio Valenzuela in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Shredders ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Kerin had 1 single and 1 double, while going 3 for 5.

"We haven't forgotten how long this series might be, but is a heck of a lot better than - ," Men said.
