Morgan has 3 hit night as Rainbow Mermaids Squeeze Past Charleston
The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids beat the Charleston Battery, 11-10, at Charleston Armory. The Rainbow Mermaids got a fine performance from third baseman Craig Morgan, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The Rainbow Mermaids, now 14-3, have been red hot.

Northern Virginia needed the clutch hitting of Tural Bishara to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 11-10. For the game, Bishara had 2 home runs and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I felt good up there," said Bishara. "I saw the ball well."
