Workman, Continentals Get 6-0 Win
Pitcher Paul Workman was sensational for the Chesapeake Continentals in his team's 6-0 triumph over the San Bernardino Grasshoppers. Workman received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. With the victory, the Continentals record now stands at 37-62.

Workman, a native of Merritt Island, Florida, was dealing all game. He kept San Bernardino hitters off-balance, while giving the Continentals 8.2 quality innings. Workman threw 101 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 5.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Chesapeake manager Allen Evans.
