The Westwood Sixshooters got a stellar performance from pitcher José Castillo, who handcuffed the Mercer Island offense en route to a 7-2 win at Mercer Island Grounds. Today's win puts Westwood at 46-53, while Mercer Island falls to 62-37.

Westwood used the timely hitting of Sterling Massingham to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sixshooters on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

Castillo attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
