Ft. Polk South beat Yakima on the strength of starter Kyle Overhill's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. The Thunder Hawks bumped their record to 51-48 with this latest triumph.

The Thunder Hawks grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second. With one out, Miguel Pacheco hit a solo home run off Marcos Salinas, putting Ft. Polk South in front, 2-0. For Pacheco, it was his 10th home run of the season.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Overhill.
