Grasshoppers Win at Chesapeake, 7-3
|
Lawrence Stokes was instrumental in his team's 7-3 triumph over the Chesapeake Continentals. The first baseman was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs for the San Bernardino Grasshoppers. San Bernardino reliever Mihai Dumitru picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Yan van der Meijden took the loss. The Continentals, now 36-61, have lost 4 straight.
