People near The Strip no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.
The Nashville Outlaws got a superb performance from pitcher Won-sup Yang. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Las Vegas. The Flamingos won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Yang was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The winner was Vaugh Chesser in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Onson Sweemey took the loss.
The Flamingos were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Colin Bottone turned a 2-0 fastball from Onson Sweemey into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Las Vegas a thrilling 6-4 win.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Bottone.
The second-place Flamingos have won 7 in a row.
